I had a lovely stay at this charming hotel. The grounds were picturesque, with spacious lawns, a beautiful lake, and even a moat. My room, a garden suite, was incredibly comfortable and tastefully appointed. I especially enjoyed the outdoor terrace where I could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The service was top-notch, with friendly and professional staff who made sure I had everything I needed. The three dinners I had at the hotel were all excellent, and the breakfast offered a nice variety of choices. The location was also ideal for exploring the historic villages of Suffolk and Essex. I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable and relaxing getaway.
Although the hotel was wonderful, there were a few minor issues. The hotel signage could be improved, as it was either nonexistent or confusing.

Although the location seemed lovely in the reviews, unfortunately, our stay was a bit disappointing. Although it was in the countryside, it was difficult to find the parking area, especially when it was dark. The room was stuffy, and with no proper ventilation system, we couldn't get any fresh air during the night. the bed was too low, which made it quite uncomfortable. We thought breakfast was average, and it felt rushed.
The worst part of our stay was the unprofessionalism of the staff, particularly the owner, who was rude and dismissive of our concerns.

The morning meal could have been better with cleaner cutlery.
